BOW DOWN! Ralph Bakshi is so major when it comes to animation. We’re talking Fritz The Cat, Heavy Traffic, Wizards and the list goes on from past to present. Our FAVORITE is Coonskin which made an appearance in the This Day demo, catch the Coonskin street snipe next to the This Day snipe on the wall. Ralph is such a heavy influence on This Day. NOBODY kills animation voiceovers like Ralph, the characters sound so real! We attempted the same with our voiceovers on This Day.

Chris at Union LA interviewed us for Australian magazine Lodown about This Day and Dem Dare propaganda. it highlights the influences, creative direction, and the future of This Day…And being “Lodown” with a thousand sweaters that you wouldn’t catch us dead wearing.

Yeah we stamped into the 90’s with This Day post cards from “ICE T-MOBILE.” Yes, This Day is all about homage not only to the artists but fans of Hip-Hop culture like myself. I enjoy hot coco, but a shot of Darlene has way more power.
“THIS DAY DELIVERY” : THIS DAY X PUMA/UNION LA
In honor of the Zune event in July we did T-shirt collaborations with the event sponsors PUMA and the almighty UNION LA. Being that This Day is a world where everything is hip-hop we extended this concept to our partners for these shirts.
The Puma graphic “BEAT STREET CLEANING” illustrates that even street cleaners in the This Day world need a break.
The Union LA T-shirt “ALL A DREAM” brings the Notorious Biggie Smalls juicy verse to life, word up. We designed the cover from my catalog of Word-Up mags from high school.
“A NEW GOLDEN ERA” : THIS DAY MICROSOFT ZUNE SCREENING
We held a screening of the This Day demo at Microsoft’s Zune Space in Los Angeles in July. Artwork from the This Day world, Drinks, and Golden Age Hip-hop…It was straight for ‘88 in ‘08. We gave out the samples of the T-shirt collaborations we did with Puma and Union LA which went faster than Ramadan. Thanks to all our friends and supporters in the entertainment, comic book, action figure and fashion industries for coming out. The This Day styled 411 Hun made a couple of appearances on missinfo.tv. Her and I go way back to using the same chiropractor. She’s from the Go-ill season of Chicago and this was a thanks to her for some positive words about Dem Dare’s mark.
